4 Week Training: Warrior Dash ( Do I have what it takes?)

Hello to you! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. If not, I am totally sending you good, positive and calming vibes. I am officially training for a Warrior Dash.

You  maybe asking what the heck is a Warrior dash? Let me explain

A warrior dash is a 5k run with 12 obstacles. The proceeds go to St. Jude Research Hospital ( a GREAT cause)

Check the obstacles out . I can tell that 4 out of the 12 will truly challenge me . My upper body strength needs some work and that is what this is all about

I signed up with my sorority sister.

This race for me is a preparation for the big race in December THE SPARTAN.

According to what I have read the warrior dash is the small step to prepping or getting my feet wet for a Spartan race.

If you have to put races in order from the least to most challenging

  1. Warrior Dash (Beginner)
  2. Tough Mudder (Intermediate)
  3. Spartan (Expert)

Well all of them appear challenging to me.

Here is how this will go I will follow Warrior Dash suggested 4 week training program so I can whip this body in shape and be Warrior dash ready

Training

  1. Working out 6 days a week (each day has suggested workouts and time frame)

The workouts I majority know but this keeps me accountable and provides specifically what to do and for how long. I will waist train when I workout as well.

Eating

I will return to my 1200 calories, I tried being flexible and I started to get out of control. I prefer a set number and sticking to that. I will follow a 16/8 IF.

My 28 day challenge  Operation Summer Ready My Diet Bet is right on time because it coincides with this training. Join me.

I am excited to complete the 4 week training.

Have you trained for a race? Do you have any tips?
