Don’t lose anymore weight (They say)

By THEY I mean family, friends, co-worker, lady at my local convenient store, lady at my favorite Chinese food restaurant and people whom I don’t even know well… who have noticed my change…have said to me

Don’t lose any more weight

I am glad that people have their opinions on what I should be doing with my body but this is my body and I am full aware of what I need to do with it.

It is interesting that everyone has an opinion but where were these same opinions when I was packing on the pounds and being diagnosed as pre-diabetic. Where were all these comments and concern when I didn’t know where the heck to start my weight loss journey. Where were all these people when I cried on the treadmill because I could not last 10 minutes on there and I was so ashamed.

Again thank you for all you UNSOLICITED comments but NO THANK YOU.

I am on my weight loss journey for ME not you.

I am on my weight loss journey to get healthy mind and body.

I am on my weight loss journey to produce the best version of myself.

AND to any one starting, currently on or coming to the end of your weight loss journey screw all the nay-sayers, commentators, voluntary opinioners (is that  word) … pretty much do what you have to do for your mind and body. Your journey is worth walking while all these people stand around talking.

      I know some people mean well in their own way. I just don’t understand when you are large people say to get small. When you get small people say dont get too small. Darn if you do and darn if you don’t.

    I agree with you wholeheartedly!

    Your journey is for you and you should work towards being what you want to be. (general stay healthy caveat…but you know that)

    I have just written a massive rant about it…but actually I was just agreeing with you!

    I get the same comments about lifting…I get “don’t get too muscly will you?”

    at the end of the day, the quest for healthy bodies is a valid one and people who are not on one often try to derail those that are…it may be subconscious guilt/jealousy on their part…
