From OBESE to Size 4: Doctor Visit Information Provided: Weightloss

My doctor politely sat me down about 2 years ago and shared with me that I am obese and need to get a grip on my health.

Here is my health summary report from Kaiser Permanente ( kinda personal but hey the truth is the truth)

Health Summary

Do you see what one of my health conditions say?

OBESITY

Honestly I thought my weight was fine. I just thought I gained the freshmen 15, new relationship 20 and the grad school 30 but YIKES. When she said you are obese , it hurt my feelings but then it went in 1 ear and out the other.

Here is my visit summary

Visit Summary

Pay attention to my BMI and weight

According to the National Heart, Lung ,and Blood Institute anything over 30 Body Mass Index is OBESE.

My BMI was  37.08 and I weighed 216 pounds but guess what I had the nerve to do… go and gain 21 lbs more after the doctor told me I was obese.

At 237  242 my highest  my BMI was actually 41.6 WTF ok at that point I had to get a damn grip. It was not easy I had a few epic fails but started slow and had a fire burning in me that said YOU WILL BEAT OBESITY.

Well now I am a size 6/4 in paints and 4/2 in dresses. BUT I AM NOT OUT THE WOODS yet.

I am not obese anymore but I am considered over weight and need to loose 10lbs to be considered normal weight.

I want anyone out there to know YOU CAN CHANGE, YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH YOUR WEIGHTLOSS GOAL, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

I will help you. What ever advice you need and if I can I WILL HELP YOU!!!! Serious and from the heart.

I support anyone who wants to change for the better

Please keep going going. It may be a struggle but you can hit reset with what you already are doing or start something brand new. All weight loss victories big or small count. Thank you for commenting.

It’s so hard when you’re doing all the right things and the scale still doesn’t move. That’s where I’m at right now and it’s very discouraging. It’s like, why bother to keep going if nothing is happening anyway? I also have a thyroid condition to boot, so it’s not been easy.

Thank you for the encouragement 🙂

I wonder if there are any books or blogs on losing weight while having a a thyroid condition. Maybe grab a book or magazine that speaks about something like that, if you have not already (I’m sure you have) but hey knowledge does not hurt.
Yes, when the scale doesnt move its a bummber darn near my heart stops when BUT more things count than the scale ..things like how you feel, your stamina and your energy. Keep going please. The scale will move in a great direction soon.
